The Registered Healthcare Safety Officer® (RHSO) is knowledgeable of the fundamentals of occupational health and safety. The RHSO is generally responsible for the day-to-day activities of managing a healthcare facility’s health and safety program.

Prerequisite: 1 year safety experience

Passing Score: 78% (100 question multiple-choice examination)

RHSO Certification Retention:

Annual Maintenance Fee, and Sixteen (16) hours continuing education or equivalent every two years.
