Registered Telecommunications Safety Officer®

The Registered Telecommunications Safety Officer® (RTSO) is knowledgeable of the fundamentals of occupational health and safety as it specifically applies to the telecommunications and cable industries. The RTSO is generally responsible for the day-to-day activities of managing a company’s health and safety program.

Prerequisite: 1 year safety experience

Passing Score: 78%  (100 question multiple-choice examination)

RTSO Certification Retention:

Annual Maintenance Fee, and Sixteen (16) hours continuing education or equivalent every two years.
